Fitbit Sense 2

If you’re looking for an affordable smartwatch with some advanced health features, the Fitbit Sense 2 is now available for just $179.95 on Amazon.

That’s a 28% ($70) saving on its original $249.95 list price—a fantastic price for a device with its advanced sensor array.

Despite its age (released in 2022), the Sense 2 remains Fitbit’s most advanced health-monitoring smartwatch, and this deal makes it significantly cheaper than a new Google Pixel Watch 4.

However, it’s crucial to understand what you’re buying. Google has confirmed it will no longer produce new models in the Sense or Versa lines, focusing its smartwatch efforts on the Pixel Watch.

This means the Sense 2 is on a ‘dead-end’ platform with limited long-term software support.

Why this Sense 2 deal makes sense

Despite the platform’s uncertain future, though, the Sense 2 hardware is still compelling at this price.

As we noted in our Fitbit Sense 2 review at the time of its release in 2022, its key strength is its advanced health-tracking, particularly its all-in-one approach to stress.

It’s the only device in the lineup with a continuous EDA (cEDA) sensor to track stress responses 24/7, presenting this data in an easy-to-understand way.

It also includes an ECG app for on-demand heart rhythm checks for signs of AFib, a skin temperature sensor, and all of Fitbit’s excellent sleep tracking features.

The hardware itself is light and comfortable, and its 6-day battery life still comprehensively beats the daily charging routine of a Pixel Watch.

You will have to make compromises on the smart features—it lacks third-party app support, and its music features were removed.

Yet if your priority is getting a device with ECG, stress sensing, and Fitbit’s excellent sleep platform for under $200, this is still a device that can give you a good few years of tracking.
