The Polar Grit X2 is finally available in the US more than four months after its international debut—but it’s doing so at a dramatically higher price point than in other regions.
Priced at $799, the sports watch is a very different proposition than that offered in the UK and Europe, where it’s available for £399/€479. For reference, those figures, when converted, are closer to $525-$550.
While this means the Grit X2 doesn’t undercut devices like the Garmin Fenix E and others as effectively as it does in different countries, it still lands $200 below the flagship Grit X2 Pro ($999).
You still get the Elixir biosensing tech, dual-frequency GPS, and offline maps found in the pricier models. However, Polar trimmed off some premium materials and battery capacity for this more budget-friendly edition, which has helped drop the price.

In our review, we defined the Grit X2 as a balanced adventurer. It packs most of the Pro’s best performance and tracking features but comes in a smaller, more comfortable design.
However, at this US price point, its other big selling point is essentially stripped away—and that makes it a much tougher recommendation.
A quick refresher on what the Grit X2 can do
The 45mm case holds a sharp 1.29-inch AMOLED display, topped with sapphire glass and wrapped in stainless steel. It’s also lighter and slimmer than the Pro, making it a solid pick for users who found the earlier models too chunky.
Features like Training Load Pro, Recovery Pro, and SleepWise provide accurate insights that balance performance and rest.
Battery life clocks in at up to 30 hours in performance GPS mode and 7 days in standard smartwatch mode. Sure, the Pro lasts longer, but this still covers most multi-day trips.
The Grit X2 also supports ECG, SpO2, skiing temperature tracking, and full access to the Polar Flow training platform via the Polar Flow app to give you a deeper dive into metrics.
