Form, the makers of our top-rated AR smart swim goggles, has announced the arrival of HeadCoach 2.0.
The update to its software suite is available to the brand’s paid subscribers, improving the goggles’ ability as a real-time digital swim coach by delivering personalized feedback.
First launched in 2023, the original HeadCoach ecosystem focused on displaying real-time metrics and tracking skills. This 2.0 update, built on data from millions of recorded swims, provides a complete coaching loop designed to make swimmers better and faster.
After each pool swim, the Form app analyzes your key metrics—like distance per stroke (DPS), stroke rate, pace, heart rate, and your ‘Form Score’.
Instead of just showing you raw data, HeadCoach 2.0 now provides tailored, expert-level feedback. This includes the most critical thing you need to work on to improve, based on your stated goals (such as ‘Improve My Technique’ or ‘Prepare for a Race’).
The real magic happens when this ‘focus area’ syncs back to the goggles. When you dive into your next swim, it’ll give you a reminder.of what to work on directly on the in-goggle augmented reality display, allowing you to make real-time technique adjustments. This creates a powerful cycle of objective analysis, focused feedback, and in-water execution.
This is a significant step forward for Form’s swim tech, directly bridging the gap between post-activity data and in-pool performance.
